io9's March Movie Madness: Choose even more of the worst sci-fi movies ever!

It's time to vote on the rest of the second round of our March Movie Madness! Today is all about horrendous sequels, including X-Men: The Last Stand, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Highlander II, Exorcist II, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation!

You can find all the polls down below. As far as criteria for voting goes, we leave it in your hands. Vote by how you feel. What makes a bigger flop: shattered expectations, or just general crappiness? It's up to you to decide. Today marks the first round. The polls will be open from today to 11 PM PST tomorrow. Here's the official schedule:

Sweet Sixteen: Friday, March 23rd
Elite Eight: Tuesday, March 27th
Final Four: Thursday, March 29th
Championship: Monday, April 2nd

VOTE RIGHT NOW for the movie you think deserves the title of Worst Scifi Movie Ever Made. This round of polling ends tonight at midnight PST.

The first half of the second round saw some crushing victories, with Battlefield Earth, Batman Robin, Superman IV, and The Adventures of Pluto Nash all cruising to the Sweet Sixteen with at least 70% of the vote. Heavy favorite The Phantom Menace got a surprising challenge from the American Godzilla, scraping by with just under 54%, while science fiction's most lovably terrible movie, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, continued its Cinderella run.

We've got some tough choices today with lots of underdogs battling it out. Can Barb Wire, Pamela Anderson's post-apocalyptic rip-off of Casablanca, stand a chance against the juggernaut of crap that is The Last Airbender? What about the Bayhem of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen going up against the Harold P. Warren-hem of Manos: The Hands of Fate? And today we can finally settle that most profound question that has haunted humanity since the dawn of time - what's shittier, Bio-Dome or Van Helsing?

The time to vote is now!
