Gasp! Little Shop Of Horrors is coming back, produced by (and potentially starring) Joseph Gordon Levitt. Which means we could one day see JGL belting out "Suddenly Seymour" in tight pants and glasses — unless they decide not to make it a musical.
As you may know, there are two Little Shop of Horrors movies: the black and white Hor/Com, with a creepy Jack Nicholson cameo, from Roger Corman. Then there's the jubilant Doo-Wop musical from Frank Oz (which Warner Bros. produced). The details on JGL's movie are scarce, but all signs are pointing to song and dance. First, he's teaming up with Warner Bros. to make the movie and rumor has it Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who took a pass at the Spider-Man musical book, is being courted to write the script. Plus JGP can sing — and it's been so long since we've seen him have a little fun with a light-hearted comedy. This is gold for him.
Plus, we've been mentally willing this to happen for the last 7 years. Can you even imagine?
