Crowdfund Cthulhu tiki mugs, a classroom-based RPG, and a documentary about Detroit

Cthulhu and cuteness are vying for your crowdfunding dollars this week, with unholy tiki mugs, an adorable collection of comics featuring Metroid's Samus, and a charming video game about a girl with time-traveling goggles. There's also a system for turning school into a role-playing game and a documentary about the rise, fall, and future of Detroit.

The Horror In Clay Cthulhu Tiki Mug: Cthulhu might go back to R'lyeh to sleep after he's had a few cocktails from this mug. All mugs are food and drink-safe. For $40 you'll receive your very own 20-ounce mug, perfect for all your madness-inducing alcoholic concoctions.

ClassRealm Classroom RPG: Back in March, sixth-grade teacher Ben Bertoli wrote a piece on our sister site Kotaku detailing how he turned his classroom into an RPG. Now he wants other folks to share in his game-inspired approach to greater classroom engagement by developing a customizable tool for teachers, students, and parents. For a $25 pledge, you'll receive three months of access to ClassRealm+.

DETROPIA: A Documentary About Detroit: Heidi Ewing and Detroit native Rachel Grady explore the history of America's Motor City with their documentary DETROPIA, examining the utopian ideas behind its rise and following the residents who refuse to leave their homes. The film is already complete and has screened at several film festivals, but now the filmmakers are looking to release it independently. For a $40 pledge, you'll receive a digital download of the film and a photo from the filmmakers' archives.

The 31 Days of Zero Suit Samus Hardcover Collection: Chris Furniss has been winning hearts with his adorable illustrations and cartoons featuring Metroid's heroine Samus. 31 Days of Samus reveals what the bounty hunter does on her days off, sometimes accompanied by other Nintendo characters. For a $17 pledge, you'll receive a set of buttons, a sticker, and a Samus print. For a $35 pledge, you'll receive all that plus the hardcover book.

Lilly Looking Through: An animated adventure game: Indie games developer Geeta Games is looking to finish Lilly Looking Through. The trailer shows off some perfectly charming animation as Lilly interacts with her environment, and there's a neat gimmick where in which Lilly finds a pair of goggles that let her travel to a different, more futuristic version of her world, letting her puzzle her way through her environment. For $10, you'll receive a downloadable copy of the finished game, plus some easter egg hints and other bonus goodies.
