First look at Wreck-It Ralph shows a homeless Q*bert begging for Pac-Man cherries

We're still not 100% sure what to think about Disney's latest "journey inside a video game" movie Wreck-It Ralph. But at least now there's some more info — USA Today has a lengthy interview with the movies lead John C. Reilly (Wreck-It Ralph) who explains what is going on in this strange video game world including a synopsis:

After attending a support group for arcade evildoers (which allows for cameos by such classic foes as Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog and Zangief the wrestler in Street Fighter II), Ralph decides to travel through a power strip and enter other games to prove he can be a good guy.

Which means Ralph travels through the magical power outlet strip into different games to prove he's a good guy. There he meets Jane Lynch's character Sgt. Calhoun and tries his hand as a hero for a first person shooter game.

Then there's Sarah Silverman's character Vanellope von Schweetz. Who meets Ralph in a "candy-themed go-kart racing game Sugar Rush."

Clearly, there's a lot going on in this movie. And we're still not entirely sure how the 8-bit world of video games will appeal to the younger demographic that it is clearly targeting — but we'll wait until we see more (like a trailer) before we pass too much judgement. It's certainly colorful, and it's got John C. Reilly, who is the greatest. What do you think? The next in a long line of odd Disney movies that fail to reach an audience, or a fun look at a bunch of old games?
