Disney's Snow Queen movie gets the Witch from Wicked and a Book of Mormon writer. Hell. Yes.

We've been waiting for years for someone to make a Snow Queen movie. Finally, Disney is pushing forward on Frozen, their take on the Hans Christian Andersen story, and they're stacking up some serious talent to help.

Disney recently revealed via press release that Broadway idol Idina Menzel will voice the Snow Queen. Plus, Robert Lopez (Book of Mormon) and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Winnie the Pooh) will write original songs for the feature. Here's the brand new official synopsis:

In "Frozen," a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, so Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) must team up with Kristoff, a daring mountain man, on the grandest of journeys to find the Snow Queen (voice of Menzel) and put an end to the icy spell. Encountering Everest-like extremes, mystical creatures and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

We cannot wait. It's been a very long time since Disney has put out an animated feature with music on par with "Part of Your World" or "Bonjour." We require new karaoke songs!
