When there are no longer people to build up Dubai, splash in its pools, or water the resort palm trees, all that is left behind are the empty developments, the shells of half-finished buildings, and the animals that have inherited the Earth.
Richard Allenby-Pratt is a Dubai-based photographer who works for the advertising and design industries, but sometimes uses his camera and design talents toward more personal and editorial work. In this series, Abandoned, he removes the people from the usually bustling city, replacing the crowds with the occasional point of displaced wildlife. Each of his photos features a different animal, often not at center stage, a witness to the relics of humanity. See the rest on Allenby-Pratt's website.
