Can lesbian werewolves ever find true happiness? We'll find out soon enough, in Jack and Diane.
The last we heard about this wildly experimental romance movie, Ellen Page was turning down the lead role while it languished in development purgatory. But now it's back, with Juno Temple and Riley Keough starring. While the trailer for Jack and Diane reveals very little werewolfishness, some of the film is supposedly animated (fingers crossed it's all the werewolf scenes).
Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is giving her werewolf-like visions.
And here is a scene, which is a bit.. off. But it's probably not enough to base a judgment on — the movie is directed by Bradley Rust Gray and will hit select theaters on November 2nd, 2012.
