It's bad enough to see random people on the street having their mental energy and creativity siphoned out by horrific advertising blobs — but when it's your own lover sporting a brain-controlling glob of goop, that's the worst. This exclusive clip from the new movie Branded shows why it's not just They Live without the sunglasses.
I guess that the awareness of the evil brain-controlling advertising blobs manifests as a kind of illness, judging from the above clip. Here's the official description for Branded, which comes out Sept. 7:
BRANDED is a dark and mind-bending journey into a surreal, dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a monstrous global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive. One man's Misha (Ed Stoppard) passion to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy will lead to an epic battle with the hidden forces that really control our world.
BRANDED is the vision of two widely respected marketing executives: Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain. Bradshaw and Doulerain co-wrote, produced and directed. Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, Ingeborga Dapkunaite and Max Von Sydow star.
