Mark Hamill is best known for playing the Joker in a variety of Batman stories*, but here's a role you've probably never seen him do before. The older, curmudgeonly guy who's the only voice of reason in the midst of complete drooling morons. It works really well here.
The above is an exclusive clip from a brand new movie called Airborne, being released by Image Entertainment. (It hits VOD on Sept. 14, DVD/Blu-ray on Oct. 16.) Check out another, non-exclusive clip and the trailer below, along with some teaser posters.
Cargo Hold/Box clip
A soldier on board the doomed flight looks for a weapon in the cargo hold. While down there, he makes a gruesome discovery.
Here's the synopsis for Airborne:
Turbulence is the least of their worries. On October 16th, Image Entertainment presents Airborne, a "Twilight Zone"-infused horror/thriller starring Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill (Star Wars Trilogy,). Airborne features a strong genre cast including Alan Ford (Snatch), Gemma Atkinson ("Hollyoaks"), and Julian Glover (HBO's "Game of Thrones", Troy), who reunites with his fellow Star Wars legend after 30 years!
When a storm starts closing in, air traffic controller Malcolm (Hamill) sends one last plane into the sky – but after takeoff, the passengers aboard discover the pilots have been brutally murdered. Suddenly the plane disappears from radar, and one by one, the people aboard turn into dangerous, bloody psychopaths. With time running out, the survivors must unlock the deadly mystery in their midst – and find a way to land the plane before their ultimate nightmare is unleashed!
* - And for that other role. But mostly, for the Joker.
