Peter Jackson wants to direct an episode of Doctor Who. Make it happen, Moffat!

DREAM TEAM! Can you imagine a New Zealand-set Doctor Who lensed by the amazing Peter Jackson? Well, you never know — it just might happen.

In an interview with The Waikato Times Matt Smith said he would love to film a Doctor Who episode in New Zealand with Peter Jackson.

"I think it would be an absolutely wonderful place to film Doctor Who. I'm told it's glorious. I'm told it's quite similar to England. Let's get Peter Jackson to direct one and go and make it in New Zealand. I would love to, I will campaign endlessly to come over and film there. There's clearly a great film industry out there. It's something I would be very interested in, it's just whether we can persuade the producers to fly us all over.

Looks like he didn't have to campaign for long, because Waikato Times went to Jackson for comment and his response was:

"I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, and I think Matt's fantastic. Just name a time and place, and I'll be there!"

Amazing! And fingers crossed!
