Iron Man 3

Here's the first official synopsis, which unsurprisingly is fairly light on specific details but at least gives some hints of Tony Stark's character arc:

Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Justice League

Although Warner Bros.'s development of non-animated, non-Nolan superheroes continues to hover somewhere between fiasco and shambles, that apparently won't stop the studio from going ahead with their Justice League movie. What's more, Warner Bros. is reportedly targeting a release date that puts it in direct competition with the only movie even somewhat like it: Marvel's Avengers 2, which will likely have the advantage of actually being, you know, good. The plan is reportedly to shoot the film next year and release it in the summer of 2015, which seems to leave tons of time — including all of 2014 — for post-production, which probably means the movie will feature an ungodly amount of CGI and 3D. So just like Green Lantern, basically. Yeah... this is going to end well. [Los Angeles Times]

Dawn of the Planet of Apes

Live Free or Die Hard and Total Recall writer Mark Bomback has reportedly been brought in to do a rewrite of Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver's screenplay. Bomback, who previously did rewrite work on Rise of the Planet of the Apes, was reportedly hired as part of the transition process from original director Rupert Wyatt to Let Me In and Cloverfield's Matt Reeves, who is taking over directorial duties for the sequel. Ghostbusters 3

The sequel absolutely nobody asked for apparently now exists outside Dan Aykroyd's fevered imagination, as a new report on Ivan Reitman's upcoming directorial slate indicates he will be working on Ghostbusters 3 in the summer of 2013. [Deadline]

Wreck-It Ralph

Here's an in-universe commercial for the movie's video game Hero's Duty.

Here's a bunch of awesome set photos from Essaouira, Morocco, which appears to be the site of filming primarily for Slaver's Bay scenes, but also a few Kings Landing sequences as well. Among other things, you can catch your first glimpse of the unsullied and a few new characters, including Kraznys, Missandei and Arstan. (Well, Arstan isn't exactly new, but anyway.) Also, Ser Meryn Trant is there, but that's probably one of the King's Landing sequences. Check out the links for more on what's going on in the photos, and there are tons more photos at the first link. [Mohamed Amine Lakaab via Westeros and Comic Book Movie]

American Horror Story: Asylum

Here's a promo for next week's episode, "Tricks and Treats."

Co-creator Ryan Murphy hints at what's ahead this season, starting with the search for Alma:

continues for the whole season. It's an interesting idea, which is for the audience basically to find out were the aliens real or were they all in his mind? We studied a lot about alien abductions, particularly the year we're writing about. We say in the first episode that 1964 was a very important year in which religion and science collided. Right around the time of the space program is when a lot of people claimed alien abduction theories. I've always been obsessed with alien abduction theories because one of my best friends tells me over and over again that she was abducted and experimented on. So it's a fascinating thing to write about.

We saw the alien limbs. But will we see its face?
Yes. We overshot the s- out of it. What we did last year with the infantata is you saw it for literally like 3 frames. It's a very similar experience where we don't show many of the creatures in the woods which are called Raspers. We don't show too much. We want you to get invested in the story but we do show more.

Murphy also confirms that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine isn't leaving the show anytime soon, despite the rather horrible mishap that befalls him in the premiere:

Yes, he is going to be in a bunch of episodes. I mean, it's clear after the first episode that he's in a bad place. I wanted a big star in that. We actually wrote it for him. He did such a great job. He has this great movie star charisma. But what Janet Leigh was to Psycho, Adam is to this season of American Horror Story. He does not perish as quickly as anybody. And maybe he lives - I'm not saying anything... The 2012 stuff is not in every episode. We skip around a little bit. But it's definitely part of the storytelling engine and all designed to completely wrap up in the very last episode and the very last scene. I think it's cool to tell a very modern story within a period frame work. I love the new Briarcliff dissolving into the old Briarcliff.
