Japan is finally building the ultimate anime theme park

What do Dragonball Z's Goku, One Piece's Monkey D, Luffy and Naruto from Naruto have in common? They're all some of the most popular anime characters in the world, they all star in the Shonen Jump weekly manga anthology, and they're going get their own theme park in Japan later this summer.

Namco Bandai announced the park earlier today, which will take over the third floor of Namja Town, the indoor theme park Namco's been running in the Sunshine City World Import Mart Building in Tokyo's Ikebukuro ward for years. The as-yet-unnamed Shonen Jump-centric park will cover more then 1.5 acres, and contain restaurants, an amusement center, plenty of shops that will just so happen to sell Dragonball Z, One Piece and Naruto merchandise, and something called a "Heroes' Arena," which will almost certainly star people in costumes (you can see the proposed floor map below, although reading it may be more of a challenge).
