The Greatest Science Fiction Porn Movies of All Time: 1992-2001 [NSFW]S

We are all naked in the face of the vastness of the universe. But some of us are more naked than others. Science fiction movies have been venturing into forbidden realms of sexuality for 50 years, and the past 20 years have seen the biggest boom of all, thanks to home video and the internet.

Last month, we brought you the more or less complete rundown of the first four decades of porn movies. Now here's part two, covering the years from 1992 to 2001. Warning: NSFW and occasionally squicky!

I pretty much guarantee we've left some stuff out — so please chime in with your suggestions below! Oh, and we already included the 1980s-1990s Star Trek porn spoofs as one item in the previous list. If you want to read a complete history of Star Trek porn up to about 2009, that's here.

Zena: Mistress Of The Universe (1993)

This is not, as you might assume, a Xena: Warrior Princess ripoff. Xena hadn't quite made it to television at this point. Rather, it's an S/M porn about a dominatrix who "came from across the galaxy in search of the earth`s most beautiful women." So she can tie them up and whip them, and stuff. Actually, my favorite description for this movie is the one which mentions she comes from "the alternative side of the galaxy." You know, that one spiral arm where everybody is a little bit alternative.

Quantum Deep (1993)

This, on the other hand, really is a spoof on Quantum Leap. Except that instead of Scott Bakula jumping bodies and time-slipping, it's a hawt lady. And she has a laser gun. And at one point, there's a robot who's programmed for "sensual stimulation, who's visiting 1993 for some reason — as you can see in the ultra-brief clip at left. Click here for the awesome video cover, too.

Alien Probe (1993)

Apparently this film was successful enough that it spawned three sequels within a year or so. In the first one, a shipping clerk named Cynthia is suspicious of the new janitor, Jasper — and then he turns out to be a Zordanian, sent by the evil Zordac to kidnap an Earth woman. Cue lots of bondage and stuff. And Jasper turns out to have a "large green genetic fluid spewing tentacle protruding from his abdomen." I'm not making any of this up. In part two, though, the aliens realize their attempts to inseminate Cynthia were unsuccessful because she was using birth control. So Zordac sends his best guy, Tardac, to inhabit the rotting dead body of a homeless man and find more women to probe and stuff. You know, I don't really want to watch these movies. They sound horrible.

The Original Wicked Woman (1993)

Apparently this movie is famous for being the first porn film where the star got breast implants halfway through filming. Chasey Lain plays an alien woman who's sent to Earth to save the planet from destruction due to sexual imbalance — because women aren't assertive enough, and this causes the planet to explode or something. In any case, in the clip at left you can see her using her robot scanner to watch famous assertive Earth women throughout history, including Eve and Cleopatra. And eventually, halfway through the film, the alien heroine decides she needs bigger breasts, so she uses her alien tech to make it happen. I guess.

Emmanuelle in Space (1994)

Actually, this was a TV series, but it sort of counts anyway. They were created by Alain Siritzky, who also gave us many other softcore science fiction porn films and direct-to-cable masterpieces, such as Rod Steele (see below). In a nutshell, it's your usual "aliens come to Earth to learn about human sexuality" storyline, except that Emmanuelle is the teacher. And because it's a Siritzky joint, almost anything can happen, including mind control, telekinesis, and lots of dry ice. And this is probably a great time to mention Emmanuelle Vs. Dracula, which you can see a bit of here. Large snippets of Emmanuelle in Space are easy to find online, and at left is just a wee taste.

Anal Intruder 9: The Butt From Another Planet (1995)

The slogan for this one really says it all: "She came from Planet Butt." Really? Planet Butt? Okay then. Also, the back cover says: "She came in peace. And what a piece she was." Basically, two aliens land on Earth and decide to take over the planet using anal sex. This will, presumably, take a really long time. As alien invasion schemes go, it's probably one of the least practical.

Latex and Shock (1995)

Probably Michael Ninn's most famous porn films, Latex and its sequel try for a "cyberpunk" aesthetic without actually comprehending cyberpunk. But that's okay, because the actual plot about a psychotic telepath imprisoned in a future dystopia is weird enough on its own. Malcolm Stevens has the ability to read people's thoughts, and uses it to discover their sexual fantasies. (Instead of getting rich, or escaping from his asylum.) In the second film, a female therapist tries to use shock treatment to cure Stevens, but her assistant gets drawn into a telepathic nightmare where she's trapped with two sexy gargoyles. You can see some of it at left, in which you can verify that there is, indeed, a lot of latex. There's also 1999's Ritual, which is much the same sort of stuff, except this time a female porn star is imprisoned.

Cyberella: Forbidden Passions (1996). It's just your standard-issue cyberpunk redemption-through-sex afterlife story. Mara is a famous virtual reality designer, until she dies in a fire while plugged in to VR. Instead of going to the afterlife, her soul gets trapped in cyberspace, where she meets God. And God tells her to go into other people's VR worlds and have sex with them, until she transcends this plane of existence. Yes, it's that great. At one point, Cyberella enters someone's cracked copy of Mac Paint and they have paint-splashing VR sex. More details here.

Cybersex (1996)

Yes, 1996 really was the year for "cyber" porn. There was also a 1996 paperback anthology called Cybersex, featuring stories by Martin Amis, Jeff Noon, Kathe Koja, Harlan Ellison and Lisa Tuttle. I wonder if anybody thought the book and movie of the same title, in the same year, were related. Someone should ask Martin Amis. In any case, you have to love any porn movie with the tagline, "Crystal Gold is Internet ready!" And the amazing cyberspace headset that she's wearing in the picture at right. This is a movie about scientists who create a cyborg — only to find that she's sexually insatiable. I can see how that would happen.

Women in Black (1997)

Yep, it's a Men in Black spoof, except that it's Women in Black. And I'm guessing nobody raps over 1980s soul samples. What makes this especially great is the tagline: "Protecting the Earth from the cum of the universe." You have to admit that made you giggle. The aliens have a "ferocious sex appetite" and it's up to the Women in Black to satisfy them before they annoy everybody else, I guess.

Vortex (1998)

I can't actually tell what this film is about, although here's a clip to help you try and make sense of it. In a nutshell, there are some scientists who are doing something sciencey, and it involves opening a vortex and casting your engrams into it using headgear. And an evil guy named Packard has put his engrams into the vortex and is using them to get laid in different timestreams. And meanwhile, someone named Jenny is trapped in the vortex — naked. So another lady has to go into the vortex, using her psy-powers, to rescue Jenny and defeat Packard. I think. If any of this makes sense to you, you're probably smarter than I am. The point is, naked lady in the time vortex. The clip is sort of hilariously reminiscent of Star Trek: Voyager, with the technobabble.

A Clockwork Orgy (1998)

It's the movie you never thought anybody would make a porn spoof of. According to IMDB:

An outrageous gang of four vicious ladies clean up the streets. Their main goal is to destruct the male perverts on the streets. They drink milk, get in an ultraviolet shape, and they're an menace to society.

According to the blog Between Pictures, this is actually a pretty decent film:

The gag here is that Alexandra the Droog is a violent sex-addict who must be cured of her affliction. She's caught, jailed, and then forced to watch hours and hours of gross-out porn in order to get her head right. Meanwhile, her fellow Droogs must bust her out of captivity, all the while continuing their rampage against the perverted on the streets.

At left: the scene after Alex is cured of being a pervert.

Girl Explores Girl : The Alien Encounter (1998)

Yet another "aliens come to Earth to learn about human sexuality" movie, because we can never have too many of those. This one, however, deals with lesbianism and learning to accept yourself and stuff. One of the two aliens is a dude, who hires strippers and has them perform for him — but the other one is a woman, who discovers that she's a lesbian and struggles (for a few minutes anyway) to accept herself. Here's the start of the film, featuring astonishing CG and kind of 1970s BBC-esque costumes, as the aliens travel to Earth and then spy on a human couple doing it..

Penetrator 2: Grudge Day (1998)

I don't think there was a Penetrator 1 — I think this is just a porn spoof of Terminator 2. Yes, that's oddly specific, and the title might mislead you into thinking it's a Predator thing instead. Anyway, I hope someone says "live with me if you want to come" at some point. This trailer is actually kind of amazing.

The Uranus Experiment (1999)

We covered this before in our roundup of zero-G sex scenes — but it bears repeating that this is perhaps the only porn movie to be nominated for a Nebula Award. Supposedly a tiny amount of this film was actually shot in microgravity, but mostly the zero-G sex looks laughably fake, like the stuff at left.

Sex Slider Shag-A-Rama! (1999)

Tagline: "Slide into the "Sexth" dimension!" Sounds kind of painful, actually. The movie's four heroes are universe-hopping, and then they stumble on a world where anybody who has sex is sent to a reeducation center — possibly similar to the one in Clockwork Orgy. They join up with the resistance movement against the beautiful but evil female dictator and soon "the cosmic cum begins to fly." You'll be shocked to hear the beautiful sex-hating dictator finally gets seduced. I'm wondering if this is sort of Sliders porn.

Double Feature (1999)

It's a porn spoof of 1950s science fiction movies. Seriously. It starts out with "trailers" for non-existent movies like Night of the Gangbang Zombies, and then goes into two short films: one about aliens who drain anyone they have sex with, and one about a mad scientist who tries to make the perfect sex machine. This was followed by The Bride of Double Feature a year later.

Computerized Sex Cravings (2000)

It's another virtual reality cyberpunky sex movie. To quote from the blurb:

You may never recover from this adventure about virtual sex in a cyberworld populated by the world's most intensely sexual women. Once more, PRIVATE invites you to unleash your imagination as we take you to new heights... and depths... of pleasure and sexploration! Fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a humpy ride!

It's going to be a humpy ride. That's... huh. Anyway, apparently this involves pouring cyber-liquid all over yourself, from a brass amphora thingy.

Dreamquest (2000)

This Jenna Jameson movie features a widescreen presentation and Hollywood-quality effects, and I guess it's about entering the realm of dreams. In the clip at left, a woman wants to meet the King of Dreams, but first she has to show a lustful demon her breasts. The acting is kind of amazing, especially when the demon says, "I will feel your tits." Also more recently, Jenna Jameson starred in an I Dream of Jeannie spoof called I Dream of Jenna.

Alien Sex Files (2000)

Actually, it's a bit confusing. There is Sex Files: Alien Erotica, and Alien Sex Files, and it's never entirely clear if they're the same series. But there is a huge series of straight-to-cable porn flicks called Alien Sex Files III (they all have "III" in the title) in which alien women masturbate and cause force lightning, and this allows them to take over the world. Read here for more details, but the video at left is really one of the most astonishing things you'll ever watch.

Rod Steele 0014 and The Ultimate Attraction (2000-2002)

Horror auteur Rolfe Kanefsky has a sideline in scifi soft-core porn movies, which often air late at night on premium cable and then come out on "unrated" DVDs. (He also wrote the aforementioned Emanuelle vs. Dracula.) Both of these films involve a "clicker" that can increase the horniness level of anyone you point it at, ripped off from Manara's Click. In Steele, a James Bond parody loses track of his arousal-causing gadget and it creates mayhem. In Attraction, a mom-and-pop gym's staff uses the device to save the gym from a gym mogul who wants to buy them out. Really. Eventually, the entire gym is turned into a sex frenzy when the arousal clicker goes off at the wrong (or right) moment.

Blue Matrix (2001)

So researchers are trying to figure out why people keep vanishing during sex, and eventually they figure out that people are being pulled into a space called the Blue Matrix — which is basically "a room with a bunch of white sheets on the floor and walls," with flashing lights behind the sheets. Eventually, they discover that you need to have a "hypersexual" experience to enter the Blue Matrix, which is an alternate universe. And then one woman, who really wants to travel to the Blue Matrix, needs to figure out how to have a hypersex experience. This makes way more sense than Vortex.

I.K.U. (2001)

This movie by Taiwanese-American filmmaker Shu Lea Chang is much, much cooler than most of the U.S. attempts at being vaguely "cyberpunk" — the visuals are just much more memorable, even when they're writhing around in a bunch of pink balloons and things. Reiko is a sex robot, who goes through seven different bodies to experience a variety of sexual experiences before returning to her corporate masters to download all her accumulated experiences — except that she's plotting to escape from the company's control. Seriously, watch the video. It's pretty great.

Planet of the Babes (2001)

Yes, it's a Planet of the Apes spoof — coinciding with Tim Burton's Apes movie, in fact, and featuring similar masks and facewear. Asia Carrera plays one of the human women, but it's kind of amazing how much time is spent in this film discussing the intricacies of ape society and whether humans can be intelligent. At left: A scene where the apes decide to bring a human female to the crashed astronaut to distract him from his problems with "Doctor Anus."

Super Quick #2 (2001)

Somehow we missed this one in our roundup of the history of superhero porn a while back. I guess Super-Quick is a superhero who has lots and lots of sex, possibly using superspeed. (Or possibly just super-coke.) To quote from the blurb: "In this episode, evil circus clown P.T. Bone 'Em schemes to turn the entire world into his zombie sex slaves. He strikes a deal with Super Justice, a rival super-hero gone bad. Will Super Quick's ultra-speed be enough to save the day?"

Virtualia 1 - Cyber Sex (2001)

This one sort of has everything: a post-apocalyptic future, a dystopia where nobody can have sex, and a cyber-virtual sexuality thingy. According to the blurb: "It's the year 2118. The Earth has been almost completely destroyed by nuclear war. Human life is under serious threat, since many of the male survivors have been rendered impotent by the radiation. In a dilapidated temple lives a mysterious creature from the past called Virtualia who offers humans the chance to enjoy ecstatic erotic adventures, thanks to an advanced digital network." You have to love the amazingly terrible dubbing in this video. It's astounding.

Euphoria (2001)

And here's another paranoid film set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian world where evil corporations rule everything. And one evil corporation develops a sex drug that can be used to control people — and they decide to test it on one woman in particular, causing her to experience every possible emotion. EVERY emotion. Including ennui, probably. But then the underground resistance movement that's trying to overthrow the corporation picks that same woman as their new leader. Apparently this won a slew of awards, and was very much trying to look like The Matrix.

Electrical Girl (2001)

And finally, there's this fantastic Hong Kong movie — which commenter MaleChimp brought up in the comments last time. As MaleChimp explained, "Sophie Ngan plays a woman who gives off electricity from her lady parts. When she reaches orgasm she gets the magical ability to see the future. Hijinks ensue."

Stay tuned for our final part, covering 2002-2013! And do please let us know what movies we missed...
