Stop what you're doing and watch this. This is "Landscapes: Volume 3." It is the third and final installment in a series of astonishing high definition time lapse videos created by filmmaker Dustin Farrell, and, by the looks of things, he's decided to save his most jaw-dropping footage for last.
As with the first two installments in the series, every frame of this video is a raw still from a Canon 5D2 DSLR that has been processed in Adobe After Effects, a technique that explains not only the remarkable clarity of these scenes, but the HDR effect that's clearly visible in several of the shots. "I felt that showing them... with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks," Farrell explains. We're inclined to agree. This is, hands down, some of the most remarkable time lapse footage we've ever come across.
Full screen, HD, speakers (or headphones) loud. You know the drill.
