This Aliens-inspired "advertisement" is so awesome it hurts

Remember the P-5000 Work Loader? The hulking mechanized exoskeleton that Ellen Ripley uses to rip the xenomorph queen a new one in Aliens? Sure you do. Well, this is what an advertisement for the P-5000 would look like, were we all ill-fated enough to live in the world of Weyland Corp.

The illustration was created by artist Tom Whalen for the Product Placement Screenprint art show at Gallery1988 in Los Angeles, which, if you're in the area, kicks off tomorrow and runs all the way through March 30th.

"Participants were asked to create a poster/advertisement for a fictional product from television or film," writes Whalen on his website, where you'll find tons more of his work. "I've always thought the caterpillar P-5000 work loader from Aliens was the bee's knees, so this was pretty much a no-brainer for me."
