Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr. from the new film Harbinger Down are here to answer all our questions about just what goes into creating the worlds and creatures that come alive onscreen. Plus, take a behind-the-scenes look at the effects they created for Tremors, Starship Troopers, and more!

Gillis, the writer and director of Harbinger Down, and Woodruff, the producer, are also the founders of character effects studio Amalgamated Dynamics, where they create everything from animatronic puppets to actor duplicates to replica creatures. They produced the effects for Death Becomes Her (which they received an Academy Award for), Alien 3, Tremors, Starship Troopers, and many more. Woodruff is also a Creature Actor who has portrayed characters including Predator, Alien, and Mortal Kombat's Goro.

They will be joining us today from 11:00 - noon (Pacific time). Check out the trailer for their new film, Harbinger Down above, as well as some of the behind-the-scenes stills below. Then start asking them questions about what to look for in Harbinger Down, where they start when building a new creature, and just how to bring imaginary creatures to life.
