The Logan's Run movie has been in the pipeline for years — and it was starting to look as though this classic dystopian tale was going to be stuck in development hell forever. But at least now there's some movement.
The Logan's Run reboot has gone through a lot of permutations without actually getting made. First Carl Rinsch was set to direct, then Nicolas Winding Refn was on board with Ryan Gosling as the star (Gosling has since dropped out.) And now, it looks like Warner Bros. is starting over from scratch with this project — starting with the script.
Deadline is reporting that BioShock creator Ken Levine has been hired to rewrite the whole damn thing. Which could be brilliant, as Levine certainly knows a thing or two about world building dystopian societies.
No word if Refn is still attached, but we've got our fingers crossed.
