What I don't understand is why the animation in the Clone Wars cartoon can't be this good, or the story be this... not cringe-inducing.
Subjective, I guess, but this (and that last trailer, I guess for Force Unleashed I? I'm not a gamer) looks 100,000 times better than Clone Wars in all ways. Reply

@Lassus: The clone wars games or series? Because the series has really found its feet now and is ticking along quite nicely.

@Lassus: The Clone Wars has come a long way since the movie. Which I hated.
Have you seen season 2? The writing and animation are infinitley superior. Although it is still aimed at children and the animation is supposed to be stylised. Reply

@Lassus: The second trailer in the post is for Star Trek Online if that's what you're referring to. I actually found TFU to be a lot more cringe worthy than Clone Wars at times. I'm gonna drop some massive spoilers for TFU so be prepared. The worst parts as always were Starkiller falling in love with his British star pilot lady, that was cringiest of all, but other than that the story was just disappointing in many other levels.
The absolute worst part was how Darth Vader never actually intended to use Starkiller to kill the emperor but just as a weapon to start the Rebellion. Wouldn't it have been easier to just hire a bounty hunter or trained sith assassin or whatever instead of training this kid for years at great expense then just tossing him out like a once used tissue? Especially considering how many sources have gone over in considerable depth Vader's disappointment and at times hatred of the Emperor, it makes very little sense for him not to seize the opportunity when he has a perfect chance considering just how far from loyalty he really is in almost every other source Reply

@TwiceDead: Well, yes, but this really doesn't address what I said. Even if it's coming along quite nicely, compared to the Forces Unleashed, it gets a real meh. I mean, in my opinion.

@Lassus: To me the Clone Wars fits in far more with the movies and GFFA than TFU. The Clone Wars speaks to the core of what Star Wars is - adventure serials. TFU seems to try and modernise Star Wars and bring it in line with modern expectations and therefore, in my view, loses the quinessential Star Wars quality.
