Why so much bashing on certain movies that in my mind where never even a possibility a few years ago? I am just in awe that people just sit there and complain about it. When I was a young lass, yea a while back, if someone would have come up to me and told that I was going to see my favorite characters, whether comic, toy or book based, come to life, I would have told them they where out of their minds, that it was too costly, no technology available to pull some of that stuff off. I, for one, am glad that I was wrong.

To see Sin City, Watchmen, 300 and others on the screen (crap or not) to me is something that is too cool and I am glad to see it. It's the progression of film making that I am in love with and no matter what the naysayers can come up with, I am pleased what is happening in certain stages of the business. Now, don't get me wrong, there is a whole lot of crappy ass movies out there, but if in the long run it opens the door to a good flick, so be it.

The business is so cyclic and I know that the movie industry is going through the "hey, this might be good, lets give it a whirl and make a few bucks" mode, but some shinning stars come out. Moon, what a wonderful movie, Sunshine, some people did not either get it or like it and there are others out there that didn't even hit the radar that you have to look for, for example Sleep Dealer, so many people missed that movie and good foreign movie.

Anyway, I ramble on like a fool, but say what you will, it is not that bad of a time for movie land. Well, not yet!!!!

@Megaera: I tjhink the point is that not everything needs to be made into a movie. Reply
