Ed Grabianowski commented on Zero-G Metals Will Put a Flying Car In Every Garage @codydog: Actually, aerodynamics keep things aloft. If you have a flying car that sustains lift at 70 mph, it isn't really using any more energy than a rolling car going 70 mph. And there's less friction, so it's probably more efficient.

Ed Grabianowski commented on First-Ever Example of a Computer Hack Attacking People's Brains Ok, so, just to clarify, here is a link to a Wired article that mentions a supposed connection to the group Anonymous. Ed Grabianowski commented on First-Ever Example of a Computer Hack Attacking People's Brains @Annalee Newitz: Yeah, I'm going by memory of an article I read a few days ago, and I might be confused between people who are literally anonymous and the group that actually calls itself "Anonymous." :-) Consider anything I said rumor-mongering, not actual new.

@Garrison Dean, King Awesome: Honestly, I'm one of the most cynical, horrible, dark-humored persons you'll ever meet, but try as I might, I can't muster a chuckle at this. Seizures are potentially fatal.

Ed Grabianowski commented on First-Ever Example of a Computer Hack Attacking People's Brains @extracrispy: There were rumors at the time that it was perpetrated by Anonymous, the group that usually focuses on attacking Scientology websites. The Rome thing is a little random, but I think it will be cool. Also, I have some inside info that suggests CoH might be seeing some ancient Egypt themed content at some point in the future as well.

Of course, the big news lately is user-created missions, coming later this year. That could be amazing.

Ed Grabianowski commented on The Empty Universe vs. Zillions of Aliens Debate For the record, I agree that the scale simultaneously makes other intelligent life likely, and actually meeting it very unlikely. And it's the time scale as well as distance. Humans have been around for such a tiny, tiny fraction of the universe's age. Odds that another civ developed in that exact same time span? Eh...not so good.

It will be fun exploring their ruins though.
