Holy cow, the J.J. Abrams-produced Superman: Flyby is certainly shiny. Just think of all the lens flare you could get off all that alien chrome. Back in 2003, Abrams wanted to make a Superman movie and this is what it would have looked like.

The movie Superman: Flyby hired concept artist Phil Saunders to create the famous pod design that Kal-El would ride to Earth. And he also created the Rouser the giant machine Superman would have to fight (piloted by his cousin Kata-Zor). The movie was supposed to be directed by Brett Ratner or McG, but obviously that didn't end up happening. But here's a look at what could have been!
