There are many bewildering enigmas in David Lynch's long career, but one of the most fascinating is his unproduced science fiction screenplay, Ronnie Rocket. Lynch fans have been obsessed with this project for years, even making their own posters and fan videos for it. But Lynch himself seems to be obsessed, too. He's mentioned it on and off, over the years. And yesterday, speaking with Salon.com, he confessed he still wants to make this film. More »

The fall TV season is beginning, and that means one thing — you're finally going to get to see the TV pilots that the networks have been sweating over for a year. Most of them will totally suck — even if the shows they launch wind up being good. But a few of them will be amazing, full of killer action and interesting characters. More »

Some movies just want to blow shit up and feed you cheesy one-liners, plus the occasional bit of eye-candy. And then there are movies that really want to be clever and meaningful. Got some spare time? The world's longest novel is available as a free download! Coppell, TX writer Mark Leach has just published an expanded 12.6 million word edition of his apocalyptic novel Marienbad, My Love. It's nearly ten times longer than the official record-holding longest novel, Proust's In Search Of Lost Time, not to mention the previously longest science fiction novel, L. Ron Hubbard's Mission Earth. And Leach says he's just getting warmed up. How does he fill so much space? More »
