Doom Patrol hits DC Nation plus one step to a Unified Marvel Animated Universe

This week in the world of cartoons, well...lots of series are taking a late Summer vacation. Adventure Time, Regular Show, Beware the Batman, and Avengers Assemble are repeats, but, in the meantime, we have clips from Futurama, the new DC Nation Doom Patrol short, and an Ultimate Spider-Man/Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. crossover!

As always - minor spoilers ahead!

Futurama – "Murder on the Planet Express"

Paranoia reigns on this week's episode, with each member of the Planet Express crew suspecting another of shenanigans. Fry looks for a surveillance camera to install in the lavatory in the clip above.

Aqua TV Show Show - "Merlo Sauvignon Blanco"

Based on the title, this episode of Aqua Teen could be about anything ... and that's why I love this show.

Teen Titans Go! - "Artful Dodgers"

Dodgeball, the bane of third grade phys-ed classes across the world, is a favorite past-time of the 'Titans. The group enters a dodgeball championship that pits them against a band of H.I.V.E. members. This episode airs Tuesday, August 27th.

Doom Patrol - "Challenge of the Timeless Commander"

Best known through Grant Morrison and Richard Case's 1989 revival, Doom Patrol has actually been around since the early 1960s. I believe this short marks the first animated appearance of the team.

Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. – "The Collector"

Spider-Man makes his debut on this series, teaming up with a number of Hulks to stop the Collector from adding every hero on Earth to his menagerie.

Drake Bell (Ultimate Spider-Man) voices the webslinger in this episode, lending a nice touch of continuity to Marvel's trio of shows.
