Between the Sailor Moon Crystal premiere and the news of a potential new Robotech series, it's been an anime kind of day. So why not close it out with Player Piano's incredible cover of the iconic "Kaneda's Theme" from the Akira soundtrack?

Sonya Belousova is Player Piano's piano player, Eru Matsumoto assisted on the electric cello, and Tom Grey directed the video, which was impressive unto itself. But my favorite part has to be Sonya's piano, decked out like Kaneda's motorcycle, complete with neon to simulate the bike's taillights in the Neo-Tokyo night. Amazing work, guys!
