Kirobo became the first talking robot in space when it arrived on the International Space Station earlier this year. In this video, we can see the adorable artificial astronaut undertake its mission through a conversation with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Koichi Wakata.

This conversation is part of the Kibo Robot Project, which looks toward providing robotic companionship to people living in isolation. Kirobo was designed to process and respond to questions, providing a ready conversation partner. At the very least, he's pretty fun to watch as he strikes his various poses in microgravity.
