There's a lot to recommend John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars, a tale of freaky-ass Martian ghosts who possess the bodies of human colonizers and turn them into cannibalistic Burning Man rejects. It's got Ice Cube and Natasha Henstridge as ninjas fighting the ghosts. But best of all, for no apparent reason, Martian culture is a "matronage" run by women. That turns out to be largely irrelevant to the plot except in this awesome scene where police officer Natasha's boss Pam Grier sexually harasses her — right when Natasha is trying to enjoy the drugs she's just taken.
