The novel that inspired a kick-ass video game is finally getting its own movie version. The Russians are creating a movie version of Hard To Be A God, in which human super-spies mess around with primitive aliens. As in the video game visitors from Earth's future travel to a humanioid planet that is stuck in the middle ages and blow them all away with their futuristic technology. But instead of the brightly colored game version, it's going to be a gritty look into the dark ages, filmed in black and white and featuring in-your-face scenes of capital punishment.
