Star Wars: Episode VII

Bad Robot producer Bryan Burk discusses the company's experience coming on board for the new Star Wars movie alongside director J.J. Abrams, as well as how this job differs from their work on the Star Trek franchise:

"It's been very surreal. It's very early in the process of Star Wars, but it feels like we are on the precipice of jumping into that world. The worlds couldn't be more different. The only thing they have in common is the word 'star' and they take place in outer space. Star Trek doesn't take place in a galaxy far, far away it's not science fiction, it's science fact, it's 100 per cent our future. The guy who invented the cellphone said he was inspired by watching Star Trek."

Iron Man 3

Here's the first TV spot and another brief teaser.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige drops some more revelations about the film:

"So, at the beginning, we see that the President has asked Rhodey as War Machine to get a new paint job and take on the new moniker of the Iron Patriot in order to do American business and be the American hero as opposed to The Avengers or Iron Man himself, who is sort of a separate entity... In a way it becomes a buddy action film, in the third act, where they team up. Neither of them have a suit at a certain point in the movie and they really team up in a great, sort of old- fashioned action movie way and Don and Robert have such an amazing rapport... Aldrich Killian heads a brain-trust organization called AIM that is developing Extremis, which is something that taps into human DNA and is able to reprogram it and regenerate limbs and enhance strength and cure wounds. But it also could change the whole world, which is what Killian intends to do with it."

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

With Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson temporarily dead and/or starring on ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D., there's an opening for a new recurring male agent in Marvel's cinematic franchise. Into that opening steps The Americans costar Maximiliano Hernandez, who will reportedly reprise the role of Agent Jasper Sitwell he previously played in Thor and The Avengers. [Deadline]

Guardians of the Galaxy

Prop sculptor Brian Muir, whose previous work includes Darth Vader's mask and Alien's Space Jockey, is reportedly working on writer-director James Gunn's Marvel space opera. The original report suggests Muir is working on the mask worn by Star Lord — played by Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt, which remains a highly awesome fact — and that the whole movie will have "something of a Star Wars vibe." Those last tidbits should be considered speculative, though. [Bleeding Cool]

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Twilight actor Booboo Stewart has confirmed the recent rumors that he will appear in Bryan Singer's new X-Men film, and a recent interview suggests he has gained upwards of fifty pounds and grown out his hair for the role. Here's what he had to say when asked to confirm the casting:

“It's just a dream come true, really; I can't even explain the feeling that I have for this, it's incredible. I don't know anything [that I can share] about my character. I can't say anything, but I wish I could shout it. Yes, you will see [the result of my work-out] in the movie. I look forward to working with Bryan Singer; I got to hang out with him for a few days...seriously a cool guy. [Singer calling the movie an inbetweenquel] is a really neat way to connect the [original X-Men trilogy and First Class]. It'll be really interesting to see how it all comes together.”

Divergent

Lionsgate has confirmed that Kate Winslet will play the supporting role of Jeanine Matthews alongside The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Shailene Woodley in the adaptation of Veronica Roth's dystopian YA novel.

Transformers 4

After the Michigan Film Office somewhat unexpectedly revealed some plot details yesterday, it was really only a matter of time before Paramount stepped in to deny the whole thing. So, according to the studio, the whole thing about "powerful, ingenious businessmen and scientists" trying to "learn from past Transformers incursions" is inaccurate. [Bleeding Cool]

Byzantium

Here's a new synopsis for the vampire movie starring Quantum of Solace's Gemma Arterton and Hanna's Saoirse Ronan; the film is due out sometime this year:

Eleanor and Clara, two mysterious and penniless young women, flee the scene of a violent crime and arrive in a run-down coastal resort. They try to find money and refuge along the tawdry seafront and in the dilapidated hotels.Clara, ever-practical, sells her body. She soon meets shy and lonely Noel, who provides a roof over their heads in his seedy guesthouse, Byzantium. Clara, always looking towards the future, turns it into a pop-up' brothel.Meanwhile Eleanor, the eternal schoolgirl, meets Frank, a kindred spirit who unwittingly prompts her to tell the truth about her life. She tells him that Clara is her mother; yet Clara is only a few years older. She says that she was born in 1804; yet she is just sixteen. She confesses that she must drink human blood to stay alive and so must her mother. In the small, quiet town, people start to die.And the past that the girls have been running from for so long, finally catches up with them with astonishing consequences.

G.I Joe: Retaliation

Here's a pair of new clips.

And here's a trio of TV spots.

Finally, a short profile of Cobra Commander.

Doctor Who

The BBC has posted the credits for next week's big mid-series premiere, "The Bells of St. John," and rather unexpectedly Richard E. Grant is listed as the Great Intelligence — which he didn't exactly play in the Christmas special "The Snowmen," but that's more or less the case. Your guess is as good as mine as to just what that means for this episode, though my money would be on some sort of cameo unrelated to the main plot — though I suppose the Great Intelligence could be the monster in the Wifi, but that seems very unlikely. [BBC]

Game of Thrones

Maisie Williams discusses what's ahead for Arya Stark this season:

"She's starting to stand up for herself and take control of her life. And she's starting to realize that most people don't stick to their word. People don't always do what they say they're going to do. But if everybody else is going to do that, I can too. Arya last season she had a great storyline not much actually happened - she didn't move North very much. This season there's a lot more happening. She meets a lot more people there's a lot more twists and turns."

[EW]

Here's a cast interview featuring Ygritte actress Rose Leslie, Jeor Mormont actor James Cosmo, Samwell Tarley actor John Bradley, and Osha actress Natalia Tena.

Here 's a sneak peek at the second episode of season three; this particular clip spotlights Jamie and Brienne.

And here are two more promo clips for season three.

Episode six will reportedly be called "The Climb." [SpoilerTV]

Supernatural

Here's a promo and a sneak peek for next week's episode, "Freaks and Geeks."

Arrow

Here's a promo for next week's episode, "Salvation."

Recurring guest actor Chin Han discusses what's ahead for his character, businessman Frank Chen:

You get a sense that they all have a history: the Queens, Frank Chen, and even Malcolm Merlyn. There is a shared history that isn't quite clear, but we know that involves members of our families and involves our hidden tragedies as well that have driven us to the Undertaking. Apart from that I can't say much more. Moira reaches out for this favor with China White and that will cause the power structures to change within Starling City and in that respect put everyone's lives in peril. Everybody. In a way, Starling City, for all good intentions has become an even more dangerous place to be in than before.

What else can you tease about future episodes and about Frank?
There are a lot of surprising twists and turns. New allegiances are forged and new enemies are made in this very short period of time over the next couples of episodes. As the weeks go on, you will find out more about him and obviously with everything in Arrow, there is more than meets the eye. Histories will be reviewed and new storylines will be created from there.

The Vampire Diaries

Costar Claire Holt discusses whether Stefan and Rebekah have a future:

"I would love for it to [continue] because I absolutely adore Paul Wesley, he's one of my favorite people on the planet. People don't know this about him but he's so funny. Probably one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life ... I think we had some really great chemistry, it harkens back to the 1920s episode, but like, really? I don't think anybody really wants to be with Rebekah forever unless she changes her ways."

Falling Skies
