Hugh Jackman Is "99.9%" Sure He's Almost Done Playing Wolverine

That's the bad news. The good news is that he assumes his last film as Marvel 's mega-popular mutant loner will be the third solo Wolverine movie, which still gives us X-Men: Apocalypse, and of course the upcoming Days of Future Past.

Although Jackman hasn't been signed for a third Wolverine movie, Fox has scheduled one anyways. Here's what Jackman told SFX:

So where do you want to take Logan next in Wolverine 3?

I don't know yet. We're talking it through. I still am very ambitious for the character. And tonally I feel like we corrected the ship with the last one. But I feel we can still go further, in a way. If I did another one I'm 99.9% sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me.

There's also the fact that Fox could pull up the metaphorical (by which I mean literal) dump truck full of money to get him to reprise the role again, thus hitting that sweet 0.1% shot. But even if he quits, he's had a good run, and he's done Logan better than anyone expected when he seemingly came out of nowhere to play him in 2000. If he wants it, I think he's earned his time off.

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. has also assuredly earned the same rest from playing Tony Stark in Marvel's Iron Man films. However, if anyone wants to permanently weld his Iron Man suit together so the actor couldn't get out of it, I'd be down with that.
