Marvel's bringing two more super-characters to Agents of SHIELD

Now this is more like it. After announcing that Lady Sif would make an appearance on Agents of SHIELD, Marvel's Jephn Loeb announced that two more comics characters were also appearing on the show — the cyborg Deathlok and the Asgardian sorceress Lorelei. And the kicker is that we've already met Deathlok.

Here's what Loeb had to say (via Deadline):

The Marvel Comics character Deathlok will appear on ABC's Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. beginning next month, Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb said today during the show's TCA set visit presentation. The character Mike Peterson, played by J August Richards on the series, will become the cyborg. "We've been leaving breadcrumbs along the way," Loeb said. "This is a major Marvel character appearing on TV, on film for the first time."

"Major" is debatable, but turning the previously established character into Marvel's undead cyborg assassin is a great idea. I can easily see Centipede turning Peterson into Deathlok, then Coulson and crew freeing him from his programming to join the good guys again. My only question is whether the character's human portion will look as corpse-like as he is in the comics.

As for Lorelei, she's the little sister of the more major Thor villainess the Enchantress, and one of many goddesses who desperately wants to be having sex with Thor; she'll be stopping by the episode in which Sif is slated to appear. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that Lorelei enchants Agent Ward — if not all the male agents on the bus. Any takers?
