A series of photos that purport to be from the "brochure" of the park at the center of Jurassic World are up on Twitter. They seem nearly identical to the previously leaked photos of the park's map, which could make them real or just based on those. [via Coming Soon]

Constantine

At the Television Critics Association press tour, writer David S. Goyer stressed that the "whole occult world" of DC is open to the new show, and hinted that there might be the chance to introduce a character who could spin off into his own show (a la Flash and Arrow). Later, Daniel Cerone revealed that the character in question is the Spectre:

Look, I'm just bringing you in on the early creative discussions. It might happen, it might not. It's just the point you're catching us at. Right now, episode five is off on outline. Within the context of episode five, we had a need for a police officer who sees that supernatural evils exist. Right there, okay, that's an opportunity to introduce a DC character. So we talked to our DC representatives and we're like what if we make this character Jim Corrigan, who goes on the become The Spectre. For those who don't know, Jim Corrigan is a police officer who kind of takes the law into his own hands… he ends up dying and is reincarnated as The Spectre. So it's a perfect opportunity for us, because we can name this character Jim Corrigan and within our story, for the general viewer, that works, because now Constantine has a friend on the force. For the comic book fan, 'My god, that's Jim Corrigan!' And we can get back to that character and can slowly develop that character and who knows, maybe there's an opportunity in the future to even see the origin story unfold within the framework of our TV series. It creates opportunities and creatively you just have to go in and lay that groundwork in and try and let it unfold naturally. So we're in the midst of approvals on that, but that's one idea we're exploring right now

Heroes Reborn

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Tim Kring said the new show takes place in a "post-season 4 world" and would address some of the events of that season of Heroes. He also commented on the return of some old characters and the focus on new ones:

The vast, vast majority are brand new characters, brand new ideas. [Bringing back previous characters is] really only to give a sense of continuity and a tether to the original world. If it was all completely brand new, we'd miss certain elements that need to be there to give you that bridge to cross to something new. I approached Coleman because he was a character who had a spine through the series that allowed you to meet new characters. So he's a character I wanted to make sure had a little part at the beginning of this thing.

Tut

Ben Kingsley is set to star in Spike TV's "event series" as Ay, the Grand Vizier to King Tutankhamun. Ugh. Just call it a miniseries, guys. It's a six hour "event." That makes it a miniseries. [ Deadline]

Ascension

According to Jason Blum, the Syfy miniseries was envisioned as a smaller budget project than it turned into:

We thought this was going to be a low budget show, but it grew to be the size of The Queen Mary. The scope of the show is enormous and the only way 600 people (in deep space) can live is if you have crops, and different living quarters.

The reason why I advocate lower budgets is so the filmmaker can have more creative control. And luckily with Ascension, Phil had creative control with more money.

Game of Thrones

Rumor has it that Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) is a frontrunner to play one of the Sand Snakes, Oberyn Martell's bastard daughters. Given that the casting call was for women between the ages of 18-25 for the daughters, the age of Castle-Hughes makes it most likely that she'll play Obara, the eldest. We've also heard rumors that Jaime Lannister will do battle with Obara, so that would give Castle-Hughes an appropriately major moment. [Vanity Fair]

Dig

The show about an investigation into the murder of an archaeologist uncovering a 2,000-year-old conspiracy is a "limited series," meaning that the six episode season will be a complete story, but could continue if it does well. Tim Kring said that "Within the first two minutes of the first episode you do see the birth of a red heifer," — which figures into a prophecy involving the return of the Messiah — "Clearly we are lighting a fuse." Once Upon a Time

This photo is something of a mystery. It was first billed as a look at Georgina Haig as Elsa, but she confirmed it wasn't her. So it's either unrelated to Once Upon a Time, or an old photo from the double used in the season finale, or something else (her double? A costume test?). It does seem off, since we've usually seen that Once uses purple screens rather than green ones. Speculate away. [SpoilerTV]
