We've mentioned the rumors before, but it's finally official: Jane Tranter, the woman responsible for bringing Doctor Who back to television screens (Not to mention Life On Mars, Jekyll and, okay, Spooks: Code 9), will be moving to Los Angeles in January 2009 to head up a new American office of the BBC dedicated to producing shows for the American market as well as bringing an American flavor to existing BBC shows. We're saying it'll take less than a year before we're seeing David Tennant shooting Who in the States. Okay, so we may not have believed those rumors about Doctor Who specials taking place in America with an American cast and crew when we first heard about them, but that was before news came that the BBC is moving to America... with some very Who-friendly faces in charge. More »
