Check out the somewhat, er... unusual trailer for the feel-good film The Odd Life of Timothy Green, in which Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton grow the perfect kid in their garden.

This movie just looks heart-shreddingly horrific, and no doubt we'll all cry after the little green boy Benjamin Buttons himself, or whatever. Here's the actual premise: "A childless couple, unable to conceive, buries all their wishes for a baby in a box in their backyard. One day, they wake up to find that a child is born, but the child is not all that it appears." So good for them magical baby growers (but not you Edgerton — we expected better from you).

The Odd Life of Timothy Green will hit theaters on August 15, 2012.
