Paul Klaver's simply titled film Winter mixes time-lapse and real-time footage to evoke the chill of one of the coldest recorded winters Holland has ever seen. Sit back, turn up your speakers, and meditate on the beauty of ice forming, sunlight dancing over the snow, and even the bodies of creatures who didn't survive to see spring.

Klaver also did a similarly styled video examining Alaska's nutrient cycle.
