Major Hints For Jurassic Park 4, Jupiter Rising and Man of Steel 2!

Clark Gregg explains how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a different kind of Marvel. Hiccup and Astrid have aged up for How to Train Your Dragon 2. And Sarah Gadon and Felicity Jones say all they can about their Amazing Spider-Man 2 characters. Spoilers ahead!

Jurassic Park 4

JoBlo cites unnamed sources who give some hints about the plot of the latest Jurassic Park movie. In line with other recent reports, they say the movie takes place back at Isla Nublar, which is now an amusement park that is "totally safe until it's not," with a Seaworld-esque enviroment for water dinosaurs. And the story reportedly revolves around a dangerously smart new dinosaur, who will face now-tamed Velociraptors and the T-Rex. Obviously, a grain of salt is indicated here. [JoBlo]

Transformers 4

Frank Welker, who voiced a number of Decepticons in the other movies, may or may not be in the latest Michael Bay movie:

Yet to be determined. I'm not sure. I did the last two. I'm waiting to see and usually I don't know until the very end, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what Michael does. He always outdoes himself, so he's got big shoes to feel when he's got to fill his own shoes. It will be a lot of fun to see what he comes up with.

However, for sure not returning is Josh Duhamel, who played William Lennox. Duhamel answered the question with a succinct tweet stating, "Nope. I'm not in the next one." [Starpulse]

Amazing Spider-Man 2

After the news that Shailene Woodley's Mary Jane Watson had been cut out of the film came the speculation that Sarah Gadon, who just confirmed she would be in the film, would replace Woodley as Mary Jane Watson. Gadon took to Twitter to put that rumor to rest:

To all those a twitter, I will not be playing MJ in Spider-Man. I have a role in the film, but it is not that one :)

And while Felicity Jones won't confirm exactly which character she'll be playing, she has revealed that it's a villain. Sort of.

It's TOP secret. I can tell you that she's sort of on the baddie's side, but I can't explain much more than that.

Check out a bunch of set photos, featuring Paul Gimatti, Andrew Garfield, and a couple of stuntmen playing Spider-Man. At one point, it looks like Spider-Man or a Spidey imitator is joining a bunch of other costumed performers in a big street scene. Also, there are tons more photos over at Coming Soon. Interstellar

Casey Affleck has revealed that he'll be in Christopher Nolan's mind-bending space movie, telling Elle Magazine, "I’ve got a movie coming out at Thanksgiving called Out of the Furnace. And I’m going to work on a Chris Nolan movie in the fall."

Major Hints For Jurassic Park 4, Jupiter Rising and Man of Steel 2!

Jupiter Rising

While doing press for White House Down, Channing Tatum gave a few hints about the Wachowskis' new space-faring movie:

We are breaking ground on—I mean it’s a tough shoot. We’re doing stuff that’s never been done, inside the camera, in the CG world, and the physical stuff. There’s very little, if not no, digital stuntmen in the movie. All the stuff is really real and it’s been hard figuring it out because they don’t like doing anything that’s been done before... And it’s fun, it’s got some cheek to it. It’s a cheeky movie, a little bit... I’m a splice, splices are essentially built in a test tube. I’m a hybrid wolf and human. And half albino, so I’m a little defective.

How to Train Your Dragon 2

License Global has quite a bit of information on the sequel in it. First is a new plot summary:

The thrilling second chapter of the epic How To Train Your Dragon trilogy brings back the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years later. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now-inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.

The second is a first look at the older versions of Hiccup and Astrid that will feature in the film:

Man of Steel 2

Screenwriter David S. Goyer has revealed how the widespread destruction of Metropolis at the end of Man of Steel will affect the films that follow:

If we’re dealing with Superman and Clark six months or a year after this experience, there’s going to be a learning curve and he’s going to understand his place in the world more. The other thing is, he may not have chosen to come forward prior to Zod threatening the planet. This decision was thrust upon him, not one of his choosing. He did the best job he could, in terms of saving people and stopping Zod. Some people say, “Well, why wasn’t Zod arrested?” Actually, there was a line in the script we cut because it’s obvious, but it asked, “What prison would hold him?” [Laughs] There’s no prison on the planet that can hold him and Zod says, “Either you die or I die."

Hercules

Just a reminder that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is currently filming this mythic movie, directed by Brett Ratner and co-starring Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt and several others. Johnson has tweeted a couple of pictures from the set, one showing the amazing design work and the other showing his makeup, depicting "shoulder slice scars," which Hercules claims he got from "a satisfied woman with long ass nails." Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Clark Gregg discussed how the show is in a smaller scale than the movies:

A little smaller scale and definitely has some fantastical special effects elements that are much more like The Avengers than they are like any TV show that I've seen. At the same time, it's a character piece about the people that are like the people that Agent Coulson has manifested up until now. The vulnerable people who have elite skills, who do this, and put themselves in harms way, because they love it.

He went on to answer the show will affect the larger Marvel universe and what that means for the fanbase:

When we were shooting the pilot I thought, 'How are we going to do this?' I've been on these movies, each one is a different chapter, and each one was an origin story, to a certain extent, of a new hero and world. And in this one the heroes were the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents — there are people with superpowers, but that's not the focus of the show. And probably it's wise to do it that way because I don't think that they could pull that off for 22 episodes in a year. But when I was doing it, it reminded me of stuff that I would watch when I was really little that was already in reruns then. I would see Flash Gordon and things that were serialized before movies. There was a heroic component and a serialized ongoing episodic plotline. So, then I thought. 'This is made for this stuff.' And the exciting part is going to be seeing the way that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. interacts with the S.H.I.E.L.D. component in Captain America 2, and the other movies, and whether those movies will then affect our show.

Orphan Black

Star Tatiana Maslany is pretty sure Helena is for-real dead on the show, saying that she thinks she's dead while also mourning her:

I will miss her entirely…. There’s this emotion in her, this depth of love, that she can’t show because she has been conditioned to be aggressive and to kill. For me, finding the humanity in a character like that is really exciting.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland

Here's a new promo for the Once Upon a Time spinoff:

Teen Wolf

Tyler Posey says that it's going to get more complicated for Allison and Scott:

'The Talk’ happens a couple of times this season. Allison and Scott have sparks, they have history, and they’ve got a deep love for one another. It’s not really love that could turn into another relationship, but those sparks never really go away.

There’s going to be some awkward sexual tension, but I think for the most part, everyone’s going to try to focus on saving each other’s lives rather than getting back together.

Allison is very big in Scott’s world and he just wants nothing but for her to be happy — and maybe be with her. But if that [can't happen], Scott’s growing up to the point where he can accept the fact that they won’t be together anymore. But that may not be the case! Because they could get back together. I just contradict myself with everything I say.

Under The Dome

Star Natalie Martinez talks about how her character, Linda, deals with having her fiance on the other side of the Dome:

I was supposed to get married and I go through troubles through the fact that we had so many things planned. One of the craziest things about this show is that you realize, this dome comes down and it's not necessarily about the dome as much as it is about what happens to everybody's lives once you get trapped. You thought you had until tomorrow to do something and it turns out you don't. So I think it affects her in the sense that she was hoping to do this and do that, [so she] put a couple more hours in [at work] so that she can go on a honeymoon ... And all of a sudden this happens. So I think that's devastating, that she never got to do the things she wanted to do. And she's missing her loved one as well. Not only that, but the craziness that's happening in the dome — the last thing you're worrying about is your wedding dress coming in the mail. People are dying, there's a dome, there's fire, there's explosions.

Major Hints For Jurassic Park 4, Jupiter Rising and Man of Steel 2!

True Blood

Rob Kazinsky, who plays Ben this season, talked about his character's romance with Sookie this season:

It's played really intelligently. Sookie is as aware as the audience is of her past. She's like, "Oh God, another one?" It's played very tongue-in-cheek. The audience is going to feel like she knows exactly what's happening. She's certainly cautious. The first time she meets Ben, she's like, "Nope. I'm going to keep walking. I'm not doing it this time." But she's a bleeding heart and she'll always take in a charity case, and I don't think there's a bigger charity case on the show than Ben.

He also talked about how Ben will fit into the larger plots of the season:

Episode 4 of this season is going to be a very big episode for Ben where you'll learn a lot more about him. Like Sookie, he's a very guarded person. Everyone he's let in has hurt him. He's had a history of betrayal and misuse like Sookie, and that's going to come out. He has a lot of scars from his past that need to heal and those are going to become more and more evident as the season progresses... Ben is fae like her, but unlike her, he's a much longer-lived fae than her and he's much more in touch with his fae part. He's a much more powerful faerie than she is and he's a much more powerful creature than any fae she's probably met before.

There's plenty more at the link. [TV Guide]

Burrell's anti-vampire campaign will include "experiments," tying with this season's theme of vampires being hunted by humans. Kristin Bauer van Straten says that the changes will really affect Pam:

Pam’s world in the past has only been shaken by what her world mainly consisted of, which is Eric. This year, that also is part of the problem still; they haven’t completely reconciled. But she’s no longer the top of the food chain. She’s always learned how to break the law and not get caught … but she is now being hunted. She actually has moved from complete freedom to less and less and that’s exceedingly hard for her.

She doesn’t like change — she has Eric, she has Fangtasia… that’s her whole world. So one by one, she’s losing everything she values.
