To gear up for the May 23 release of Matt Kindt's (Revolver, The Tooth) new telepaths-and-spies series Mind MGMT, Dark Horse Comics is releasing a series of free online prequels stories titled Mind MGMT: Secret Files. These chapters will run on Dark Horse's digital site over the next three Wednesdays. Here's a sneak peek at the first story — which goes up tomorrow, May 2 — and a synopsis:

MIND MGMT: Secret Files introduces the Mind Management program of psychic spies, its most infamous defector, and Meru, the journalist who stumbles upon their incredible secrets [...] Meru's investigation begins with the story of "the Bear," a Soviet mind operative on a mission to eliminate MIND MGMT's top agent.
