After a long, hard-fought battle, common sense finally won a victory over Michael Bay when Paramount released the logo for their TMNT reboot movie at CinemaCon, which revealed the title to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and not merely Ninja Turtles as Michael Bay had previously announced.
So, as insane as it may seem, the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie seems set to star mutated turtles between the ages of 13 and 19 who have trained in the martial art of ninjutsu, thus preventing a potential avalanche of movies that not only ignore their original premise but even their actual name (e.g., a Transformers movie about robots who don't transform, a ThunderCats movie about human who simply have cats, and a G.I. Joe movie about a man named George Irving Joe who is a rapping cop).
Look, it's not much, but the way this week has gone I'll take any sort of win I can get.
