				 The future is almost never what you expect it to be. Case in point: Over 40 years ago, Intel co-founder Gordon Moore famously predicted that the number of transistors on a microchip would double every two years. His comment, dubbed "Moore's Law" by computer scientists, has been used countless times over the past several decades to assure consumers that their electronics will always get faster and better at a rapid clip.
