Netflix's Daredevil TV Series Adds Rosario Dawson As... Somebody

Actress and self-professed nerd Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of Marvel and Netflix's 2015 Daredevil TV show in an unknown role. One of Matt Murdock's plucky fellow attorneys? A badass, take-no-shit hooker, a la her character in Sin City? Elektra? We're good with whatever.

Here's how Marvel describes her (both the actress and her character):

Known for her powerful work in "Cesar Chavez," "Kids" and the upcoming "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," Rosario Dawson will play a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell's Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.

Dawson joins Charlie Cox (previously announced as Matt Murdock) and Vincent D'Onofrio (previously announced as Wilson Fisk) in the critically-lauded cast of "Marvel's Daredevil."

"Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for 'Marvel's Daredevil,'" said Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television. "Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock's journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."

Kingpin's assassin Typhoid Mary? Secretary turned drug addicted love interest Karen Page? Investigator/bodyguard Jessica Jones? OH MY GOD IS SHE GOING TO BE JESSICA JONES AND GET INTRODUCED IN DAREDEVIL THEN SPIN-OFF INTO HER OWN SHOW? Probably not, but damn, that would be awesome.
