New In Time trailer shows why it’s the year’s most political movie

Want to see why we're excited about Andrew "Gattaca" Niccol's In Time? Check out this international trailer, which shows just how harsh a critique this futuristic thriller is of the gap between rich and poor.

Spoilers ahead...

So yeah, don't get too attached to Olivia Wilde as Justin Timberlake's mom. She's a victim of runaway inflation — if the bus ride didn't cost more hours than she had left to live, she could have made it. But that's how the world works, man — the poor gotta die, so the rich can live. It's a bit like a socialist liberation seminar being held in someone's sweaty basement, if it wasn't for the fact that it's attached to this wonderfully insane dystopian set-up.

And if you're going to have a totally in-your-face dystopia, having a cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy and Vincent Kartheiser as a totally slimy git, is not a bad start. All in all, In Time is still one of the fall movies we're most excited for. Fingers crossed!

In Time comes out October 28. [via Movie Line]
