Makes me think of the "meat trees" mentioned in Jeff Long's "Year Zero."
Anyone know anything of "Beyond the Black Rainbow"?

Color me intrigued, after seeing this trailer...

Here's a pretty cool series of events: [myrmecos.net]

Biologist and photographer Alex Wild snapped a photo of what he thought was just a strange-looking wasp. Once he posted it online, the NC State University insect department recognized it as an extremely rare species and after a bit more sleuthing, it's possible that these might be the only images of a living specimen.

Cool read.

Still disappointed that Daenerys kept her hair...
Would have been interesting to see what the public's reaction would have been at release if the trailer had not shown the "man behind the curtain" twist, but rather advertised it as a standard "spooky cabin," flick.

Like From Dusk Till Dawn being advertised as a simple robber/hostage drama...

Speaking of, I kept waiting for the diver in the main article's video to step on something... unpleasant.
At least the main concepts will still work in this reiteration, unlike the X-COM reboot
Personally, I've always loved some of the shots in this clip.
Herzog Zwei

With online multiplayer.

I cannot wait.
From the same animator who brought us this...
If that scene doesn't make it into the remake, I will be very upset.

We need more "Hell dimensions" in our scifi movies.

A team of researchers that included an N.C. State University geologist found evidence that our ancestors were crossing open water at least 130,000 years ago. That's more than 100,000 years earlier than scientists had previously thought.

Very interesting if true. I would love to see more findings regarding this.
