Just curious, has there been any word yet on Supernatural season 8?
The first time I ever went there was about 2 years ago. Lived near it for 25, but never got around to going... shot about 2 hours of footage I keep meaning to edit and share...
I caught that, doesn't change the douchiness of calling your co-star a forgettable nobody... an award-winning forgettable nobody...
Wait...Savini is in FROM DUSK TO DAWN with John Hawkes. I'm sure they met, at the fucking table read.
It's times like this that I wish I'd finally gotten around to at least watching my raw video footage from northern Virginia's DINOSAUR LAND, much less uploading it to youtube...
I made the mistake yesterday of checking out the IMDb forums for the show and saw a shitload of trash-talking comparing the ending of CHUCK to LOST, and other improperly ended shows. While I certainly would have approved of a full-on happy finale, it wasn't required.
Yeah, that's something I would have loved to have seen as well.

I've watched the finale twice, and miss CHUCK already. Probably the best season ender I've seen in a few years. Stayed very true to the nature of the show.

I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so I'll drop it here. Hope you guys dig the retro grooviness of Jim Henson...

Was she in love with Bobby, or was she finally trying to move on from the death of her husband and son?
Girls do seem to gravitate towards Sam naturally, and for more often then do Dean... You might be onto something.
Has anyone ever said for certain that this is "our" Peter? Are we just going on faith that this isn't the Peter from Dimensions 5 & 6 where he was a little selfish?
Am I the only one who thought that Sam and the Sheriff were going to hook up? She's a looker and I had my fingers crossed.

Also, I like that Dean watches cartoon porn.

Wasn't ANCHOR BAY trying to get a 3D conversion for the recent theatrical and upcoming Blu-Ray release? Can anyone confirm whether it actually happened or not?
I just re-watched the DVD's about a month back, and all this is discussed on a number of commentaries and behind the scenes featurettes with Nimoy, Shatner, and whoever else popped up. It seemed like an idea they always planned to come back, but just never found the time. Nimoy jokes about doing a movie with Spock's kid, I believe, on the very last commentary he was part of.
I enjoy the hell out of that score. I only purchased 6 scores this year, and only 3 were for contemporary films: TRON 2, THE SOCIAL NETWORK, and DRIVE. All are equally fantastic, and have spent at least a solid month in my car cd player.

On a side note, I had a geek moment last weekend where I spun the score to DRIVE while reading the book it was based on.

thank you for reminding me how much I miss the old Pac-Man cartoon show. Silly fun.
By packing a season's worth of shit into the final episode, as disconnected as it was, this thing felt like a cancelled show's glorious "fuck you" to a bratty audience.

Watching the first episode, I thought it was the worst thing I'd seen in years. Shock for the sake of shock, but I tuned in each week with a morbid curiosity each week just to see how far the show would push basic cable boundaries. As it turns out, earlier that same night I found out there are absolutely NO boundaries on basic cable as the Fox Movie Channel started a PORKY'S marathon at 8 p.m. est with full vag and boners in plain sight.

Before I knew it, that morbid curiosity turned into the trashiest fun I could find each week. Sure, most of the big plays were telegraphed, but there were enough unanswered questions to keep me guessing.

Unfortunately, the final episode DIDN'T ANSWER SHIT!!! Didn't even pretend it wanted to. The show already revealed what it could get away with, so why not just fuck with the audience? In this regard, it's probably the most subversive shows to come along in years (which is actually what I said about the first half season Murphy and Falchuk's GLEE, go back and watch that first half season if you don't believe me). Why not give a "happy" ending to the shows greatly put upon family? Isn't that what most fans complain about a series ending? No happy resolution? Why not give viewers the happiest, sappiest ending they could possible receive from a show of this sort?

I'm pretty sure that the intention was for this family to last only a season, at least in this form. The decision to not answer a damn thing was every bit as intentional as well. If the producers wanted to embrace the idea of playing against viewers expectations, they did so in spades.

If you still want to hear the show, and do so free of AM "noise", it's broadcast a few times a night on SiriusXM. I used to listen to it on my early morning, 90-minute commute into D.C., switching between fading AM singles while trying to avoid deer. Now, on the rare occasion that I get to tune it, it's crystal clear.
Sometimes Art would go along on gags like the Titor story. The most famous was the fax that led to the "flyover of Area 51" - a great piece of audio theater that holds up no matter how many times I hear it.

I remember listening to the show a few years ago and Noory wondering what happened to Titor and wishing him well on his travels. Just seemed odd to me, like he was trying to keep the gag going...
