New reader here, and just wanted to say - fantastic work, Annalee!

Although I don't have the street cred that you and Charlie have, I've worked as a writer (TV) and I know how hard it is to get quality articles. All I've seen so far is pretty quality, so kudos.

I love the Gawker format (Kotakuite myself) and I think it translates well to what you're doing here. I hope to spend more and more time here soaking it all in. :)

The Cosmopolitan project is NOT a part of the CityCenter Project, it was created by the Jockey club as an attempt to compete with CityCenter and they ran out of money to finish building it.

Thanks again for helping me out. There have been a lot of accusations of racism and idiocy from some of io9's most fervent, but there's also some really useful information buried in there!

I have been avoiding banning commenters until now, but the era of banning has begun.

I'm having fond memories of when Consumerist would occasionally mass ban bad commentors- though I don't know how much good that will do now since I don't think commenter status is invite only anymore. Sorry that I kept the nutjob talking longer by trying to point out his lack of reading comprehension- strangely enough he doesn't seem to understand the point being made.

Annalee, let go. You can't win with his type. Some people argue to make a cogent point -- some people just argue because they can't stand that not everyone thinks their way. Our friend stands in the latter category.
