The thing I find myself downloading somewhat illegally is OS's. I have a number of computers and have moved a number of times in the past couple of years and have lost my original disks for my computers, but still have the serial number I taped to the back of them. So when I have to reinstall an OS for some reason I usually find a copy online that isn't cracked and download it to reinstall a computer with a serial number I already have from when I actually purchased the software. I've never felt guilty about it, just relief that I could find a back up of it online for my use.
I paid for Marvels online library once a couple years ago and have to say I was rather disappointed with it.
Key issues were missing when you were trying to read a complete story arc and I just felt short changed about the whole thing. So Marvel on the Ipad doesn't do much for me unless they revamped how they pick the online issues they have.
Sounds like my dream game : A more action oriented Defense of the Ancients.
Ever since I played DOTA I always thought the idea was cool but the interface was lacking. Copycat games started to come out but they never seemed to realize that the idea was restricted by the RTS style that stemmed from Warcraft 3 when the idea could be (imao better) implemented as a FPS or third person. Finally someone read my mind, I'm looking forward to this.
I had a friend back in middle school who's father was a falconer. He brought a bunch of birds of prey to school one day for something like a demo of what they could do when they were trained, mind you trained is a gross exaggeration, their never truly a trained pet or anything like that. He talked about eagles though, golden and bald, and that the strength in their talons is pretty much so great that if they clamp down on you your not getting them off unless they let go or you kill them.
Ok I'm really confused here, everyone seems to be hyped up about a phone that is running an identical OS as the Droid. Yes it is being sold supposedly directly from Google, but I don't really see the difference.
With Verizon your getting the best wireless service in the business, at least based on Consumer Report. All the pictures so far of the Google phone's system look identical to the Droids so I don't see the difference other than having another Android phone on a different network. Except maybe the snapdragon processor.
Is there some big secret here that I'm missing here?
I think the worst part about this is when they fall of the "cliff." All I can picture is the two of them at the edge of something and someone with a broom pushing them off and into the shot.
Just the thought of that makes me a sick to my stomach.
@Bs Baldwin: Well the autofocus seems to be working fine for me. It'll focus at whatevers in the center of the photo or closest to the lens, and they look good to me. I'll try uploading some to my computer later and seeing how they look there, but on the phone they look pretty good.
Ok the Droid thing is odd. I've had it since day one, and yes the cam did take forever when I first got it and I haven't really touched it since then. After reading this though I can definitely say it's shooting way faster. I tried a couple different shots at different light levels and it took at most 3 seconds to take a picture. #gizmodoremainders
@Gregory Mercurio: I totally agree with you about Last.fm. It is a pretty cool idea and I like it, but the fact that I can't have it playing in the background while I'm doing something else on the Xbox makes it almost pointless. #facebook
I've been using this on a couple of my machines since almost the beginning of the beta and I honestly think it's pretty good.
It seems to take up less system resources than AVG and other free antivirus I've used, and it hasn't had any conflicts with anything else I'm running on my machines which has been a major problem with other free ones I've used.
I'd recommend it to anyone using a free antivirus program at the moment.
