Ok, to be fair, I downloaded the animated screensaver and it is actually pretty cool, but all this talk about robot boy spuge makes me think of artist Takashi Murakami's alien school boy robot "Inochi ". (I can't believe he gets away with this shrit.) [www.bordom.net]

Come to think of it, you're right, I had forgotten that I didn't read the whole thing. A friend at DC gave me the Trade paperback ages ago when it was first published. I think I just skimmed it then and only read the parts that grabbed my interest. I totally didn't pick up that they were the same character. At the time, I thought the book was kind of dull and I didn't like the art - still don't really. And though I liked the concept of what Veidt was doing in the end - I thought the squid was kind of stupid and I'm glad it's been changed. I definitely need to reread it.
I am beginning to think that the skins jobs were created by humans as an attempt at immorality. Perhaps the original idea may have been for humans to be able to die and transfer their conscience (soul) to bodies that were capable of endlessly resurrecting. Perhaps that is what the final five are - the only ones who succeeded in the Human to Cylon transfer - giving them god-like stature among Cylons.
In the Last Supper image, characters who are in relationships of some sort are grouped as such, except Admiral Adama and the President who are at opposite ends, which in itself is a relationship. The cup that Lee is apparently looking at, represents the final Cylon, who isn't at the table. This leads me to believe that the final Cylon is either Dee or that gimpy lawyer that worked with Lee.
So, what's wrong with being a "pole-dancer-at-a-boyz-club"? Maybe they've re-imagined his character? Besides, you can be "rough around the edges " and "pole-dancer-at-a-boyz-club" too.
