i don't even think i can TRY to be remotely positive about this. nopenopenope.
@gmuslera: i've been working on dhalgren for about a year now. i refuse to put it aside for a long enough time that i would have to start over. i shall overcome!
@dandank: oooo, this movie definitely creeped me out as a youngster, but i watched it over and over again.
@Steffilarue: i know! i have the most unusual urge to squeeee!
@angusr: it's obscure only if you don't look around you...
@krylyr: I found Woken Furies a bit of a drag, but you do get to learn a bunch about Kovacs and how he came to be. It's not a bad book, just not as enjoyable (to me) as the first two.

Oh, and I loved Market Forces.
holy shit, i was in love with prince's batman soundtrack. my friend and i made up synchronized swimming routines to all the songs. yes, you read that correctly.
no, no, no, and no. don't get me wrong, i think worthington is nice to look at, but bond? nyet.
@matthewabel: i'm in that boat with you. also, i got someone to take a second look at Fringe because of Nimoy. alas.
@n3onkn1ght: if it's in the same world as her Retriever novels, it's "puppy" but they are usually referred to as "pups".
i've found that my sometimes obsessive research of movies i'm interested in seeing doesn't take away my enjoyment of finally seeing the movie. knowledge is power! oh, and Ponyo.
@herazade: those are my two favorites. though, i did start the Culture novels with Consider Phlebas
@Mister Tickle: i really liked the first one, thought the second was all right and haven't read the third.@Smeagol92055: Aasimo: from what i remember of the first two books, there are autistic children.
@hadessniper: at least the show will pass or fail on its own merits. i'd rather have something new than a crap tv version of a franchise that perverts the source material.
as i don't watch supernatural, i can't really get excited about this. i really enjoy the original and have no hopes that an americanized version would be as good.
@Dunny0: the holographic dust was definitely part of the deal - just wouldn't be natural otherwise.
@Dunny0: what about virtual tchotkes? have holographic shelves with intangible thingmies all over it.
@wee little evie: the books aren't nearly as trashy as the anita blake books were getting (i have given up on them).
i am a great fan of darth stewie. i watched this last night and wasn't disappointed.
@Tyrunn: i thought it was a brain-map at first. this is just as awesome.
