I went and saw this even after reading the ultra-negative review on io9. It wasn't perfect by any sense of the imagination, but I still enjoyed it. I seem to enjoy the movies that io9 hates and get bored to death with the movies that are recommended here.
So you hated it; did you really have to give away the ending?

(even if it did seem a bit obvious)
Somehow I don't think the whole "It must be hard to be a father" thing is going to pan out so easily. Knowing this show, there is probably about 100 different twists and turns to that statement and I just don't see it as simply Peter knocking up Fauxlivia.
Does that look like the face of someone who is about to die violently in the first installment of a new franchise?

No. Emma Stone is thinking to herself, "Payday, motherfuckers. You'll be seeing this mug in the theater every summer for the next three years."
@DouchieSnacks:
Yes, they are a major sponsor...but not many of us have the cash to just run out and buy a Ford to support the show.

If there were some other way to support them, though...that could work.
I don't know if Walter's favorite junk food of choice--Twizzlers--is an official sponsor, but I'd be more likely to buy a pack of those than mess with a cell phone contract from Sprint.

Or even strawberry Pop Tarts. Delicious, strawberry-flavored death in a box.
Haynesworth lives right around the corner from the bar--seeing him there is not uncommon.
Hell, just use Kurt Russell again and give them a larger budget to play with. Trying to get someone else to play Snake Plissken is like trying to find another actor to play Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name.

It just won't work.
Yvonne Strahovski for Catwoman.

Even though I'm not a big fan of Chuck anymore, I can't deny that she has the athleticism to pull off the part. And the acting chops.
If this was a show, I'd totally watch it.
Nice to know that the Observers like their coffee.
I wish SyFy, or any station, really, would bring back Creature Features. Complete with the cheesy host and low budget props.

We need to make this happen. Kids these days don't know what they're missing.
The first PA was scary? Meh.
I'm sorry, but the Miami Vice theme music is not "crappy dance music".

That's Jan Hammer, baby!
@siczar:
Thanks for that! Why wasn't this in the write-up???
@galanix:
It's intended. One of the subtle differences between their world and ours.
God I missed this show. It's just about the only good think on TV right now.

And we got a dose of Bubbles! Where's Omar?
@CodenameV: I seem to recall watching a program (NatGeo?) where they discussed the initial efforts of re-establishing panthers in FL...long story short, I don't think this is the first time they've brought in ringers to help out the locals.
The gene pool of the Florida panther was already pretty crossed up, as far as I can remember.

Now, let's see people get behind the effort of endangered Mexican Gray Wolves. There's only like 40+ left of them in New Mexico/AZ.
I think the show has already strayed pretty far from its roots, to the point where it's not the same show. But it's almost like the showrunners can't find the heart to jettison the "fish-out-of-water" concept completely so they keep little bits and pieces (Buy More, Jeffster, etc.) to try and satisfy everyone.

So I guess it's not really a spy-show parody anymore, it's a spy show. Like Alias-lite. I get the feeling that it wasn't supposed to turn out that way, but they keep trying to sell it as such.
