This looks awesome!!!! It feels like its gone back to its original swashbuckling roots. The second (and most definatley) the third seemed to get really bogged down with FX...and some bad ones at that. With this I see Mermaids and some nice CG ship battle shots. Everything else seems like its on land with lots of humour and lots of swashbuckling!!
I just hope it lives up to the trailer. And please no more irrelevant supersized Vodoo women!!!

It was almost like a trailer for 'Tales of the Unexpected' (if anyone remembers that), but with Babarians and a very angst looking Conan!!

Its very lazy design. That simple.
For a film that has had a lot to prove, I was blown away by the trailer and got genuinly excited. Probably as excited as the first x-men. It has explosions, a fleet of ships being lifted into the air...it has it all.
This poster has none of this, its trying to be smart and its failing. Yeah....I know who the shadows are and who the young newbies will grow into. And thanks to the countless comics I own...I know how it goes down. Thats probably the same with most X-Men fans on here!! But if this wants to do well and appeal to the mainstream audience...it needs to show more of what it is. As bad as Transformers or GI JOE was, they had huge explosive poster that showed people exactly what they did on the tin!!! Problem solved...cash in the bank.....possible sequels. My missus loves the x-men films, but she took one look at this and just went 'meh'.......!!!

It looks like a cross between Independence Day, District 9, some Cloverfield Handy-cam shake stuff going on, Black Hawk Down and Modern Warfare (the level in suburbian America).

I suppose he got the last laugh with considering he got a fellowship from Disney. If he you check out any online Bio of Burton, you will find he was an uncredited animator on The Black Cauldron and The Fox and the Hound. IMDB also have him down as an uncredited animator on Tron.....which is cool.
Ive always loved Burtons art style, and as annoyed as some people get about his 'same-ish style', I think its pretty good in a world where identity is being lost quicker and quicker these days...its good to see a true artist still making people marvel at his unique work!!!
And for anyone who likes Burtons work, I suggest you pick up Melancholy death of Oyster Boy and other tales!

Its like Zack went inside my mind and plucked out all the coolest things I could dream up when I was 15. Im 33 now but dont get me wrong...this film trailer has me giggling like a 15 year old and im incredibly excited!!!
I know theres a real split down the middle when it comes to Zacks films, but im actually in the camp that likes his stuff. I thinks he handled Watchmen beautifully and 300 was awesome. Hell..........even Legend of the Guardians blew my mind with awesome animation and a pretty cool story. Now granted this is Snyders first real original film from his own mind, but if he's learnt anything.....its this: Give the Nerd what he wants and he'll lap it up. Im a Nerd........and now I will start to lap. NOM NOM!!

Of all the trailers/films coming this year, this is the one I expected to make me go 'Urgh'!! But now i've seen the trailer im stoked to hell. An X-Men film based around one of the most important events in history (The Cuban missile crisis). Magneto Vs the entire US Naval fleet. Nightcrawlers dad (I think) and Mcavoy doing a pretty good impresion of a young Prof-X. Oh yeah....and yellow suits that look almost groovy. I hope to buggery that its the X-Men Vs the US army/naval/air force with them also having to stop Cuba at the same time.

Exactly. Back me up against the other commentors. They seem to think im getting personal, when all im asking them is to weather out the storm and stay with an awesome site that is not just about web design..........its about a fucking kick-ass community!!!
What im saying is....lots of 'greyed' people on here have the balls to comment on how bad the site is and how they are leaving, when infact i've never seen this people on here before.
Yes it freezes the browser and other things like that. Its done it to mine. But its called 'weathering out the storm'. Surely you can see that!? Lets not leave for the sake of leaving, hell........lets not leave for the sake of technical problems (they can be fixed). And please..........is the design REALLY a reason to leave, thats just asthetics!! Nobody looks like a douche and I didnt say they were for leaving........but its unfair to judge a new page after 2 days and its even worse to leave after 2 days. Infact its just downright silly. Everything has teething problems.......EVERYTHING!!! But we stick with it!
