NO remake! JUST MORE IVALICE GAMES!!. The only thing needing to be redone with 12 is the focal point the story was told from. Should have been told from Basch's point of view.
You know part of me is starting to think they're going to leave VI forever untouched because they don't want to taint it's state of already seemingly perfection.
I remember reading once some quotes of the creators from when they just finished production of FFVI and they said something like "we've just made the best game in the world". Maybe in their hearts they don't want to update it because it would never be as genuine and glorious as it once was when they first poured their hearts and souls into it. It was/is such a masterpiece.
In fact unless you played it when in it came out I don't think one can ultimately enjoy it for what it was. You had to appreciate what you had (graphical wise) with the SNES. The fact that they were able to pull off such emotion and depth with those little sprites, well it just wouldn't be the same updated to a 3d model version, and "hell no" to a version like FFIII and FFIV DS.

It's a shame they figured this out and went for a "first FF experience" thing with FFXIII and it failed. That should never be a focus! (pun not intended)
I heard that the producers are being over worked and rushed to get the game done, so it may just suffer and end up to what you're afraid it's going to be.

I loved it. Thought it was as good (in different ways) as the first one. It was far more solid than than 2.
