Didn't you learn anything by Diggs recent failure by changing the flow of the site? Your audience comes here because of teh way information is delivered, and to drastically change it like this will surely be your doom.
Saw this in the theatre the other night... they had a single showing, one show one night only. And its the best thing I've seen in the theatre in years.
Don't forget that the zerg are all connected to the creep, not just the buildings but also the units. Everything moves faster on creep, and it gives the zerg line of sight as well. Its not simply for transporting nutrients.
As much as I'm looking forwards to reading the next in this series, I have long set the books aside and will not be buying ANY more of TSOIAF until the last book comes out. Do I really want to wait another 12 years for the next two books (and the closure of the series), having to re-read the entire series every six years so that I can keep track of the myriad of threads going on with each character? I think not... I'll just wait and re-read them one last time when the last book is on the shelves.
@fskornia: @MrGOH: Daenerys is 13 years old. I know HBO is edgy and willing to push the envelope for arts sake, but I'll bet they draw the line there. They need to cut so much out of the books and this seems like an obvious one.
How about instead of remaking it, just renting the DVD for everyone to see? This movie, like many others that are being 're-envisioned', doesn't need a remake. This is just another excuse for movie makers to make money without having to think or do any work.
No mention of the episode 'Spocks Brain'??? For shame. Also, Tetsuo in Akira should be on that list. Giving 2 spots to Futurama suggests that perhaps the author just wanted to get the list finished?
This is clearly HST trying to woo us, but I'm afraid the love affair is over. There's a whole new group of hot young telescopes floating around that are eager to give it up.
Its not you, HST, its me.
If you look at how overexposed the nearby foliage is, you'd see that what they're looking at as 'orbs' are most likely nearby bugs and other flying stuff.
I'm waiting for my accurate telling of 'The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress' and the 'Foundation' series. There's no shortage of good material in books, so why do they keep remaking the same movie over and over?
@tande04: If you compare them with the original Tron costumes ([chatcheri.files.wordpress.com]), you'll see that they've very much simplified the design to be more modern. I far preferred the originals.
I don't understand why they felt they had to change the outfits. Its not like this is a period piece, where the costumes denote the time. It looks like they're very much simplified.
BAD BAD HOLLYWOOD.
@Byronotron: Being Canadian (as he is), I have to complain about each book he writes, shortly before going out and picking it up. My favorite is City of Glass, written for my hometown.
